Will Wright’s Spore coming to Wii

Will Wright, creator of the popular Sims franchise, made an announcement on the Guardian website that the newly hyped Spore game will be coming to the Nintendo Wii.

The only Sims game I've ever really played was SimCity, and a tiny bit of MySims.  I have lots of fond memories of SimCity.  Especially the cheat where you could get a million bucks at the beginning of the game.  I still ended up making a crap city, but at least it was fun to make a decent city and then lay waste to it with Bowser, heh.

Spore, however, looks to be incredible.  It's interesting that its coming to the Wii because alot of people were discussing the fact that it would take a TON of memory and hardware to play it.  Hopefully the Wii hardware won't be a detriment to the vast gameplay Spore offers.  A PC version is still set to come.

The basic premise of Spore is simple.  You can create a civilization literally from the ground up, starting at the microscopic level and reaching out into deep space.  The user can control elements such as the spore's form and abilities at the molecular level, evolutionary growth, and even world domination (if you so choose).

I really hope it isn't a version with limits. I've been excited for this game for awhile, great news that it's coming out on Wii. I don't think memory should be a problem, at least if you buy a 2 gig card or something, it shouldn't really be an issue…I hope.

I used to play SimCity but not anymore, though I remembered playing it.

I'm really looking forward to this title. Supposedly its already finished, but it won't be out for another 6 months or so.
