Oboro Muramasa (朧村正) coming to the U.S.! Whoa, wait a sec…

A while back, this game caught my eye over in Japan.  It was visually spectacular for a Wii game (taking into account the console's modest graphic power) compared to most HD games on the PS3 and XBox360.  Very beautiful title.  I had abandoned all hopes of playing it, up until I heard the news that it was coming over stateside.

Which lead to a small problem.

While Kotaku did an excellent job laying out the details about the game, they forgot one tiny thing: there's an onsen scene in the game.

Now…Nintendo is family-friendly, right?  Nintendo looooooves families.  I mean, their whole market is geared toward the older, more sensible crowd.  What do you think Nintendo will do, taking into consideration 2D pixelated (partial) nudity?

They'll axe it.

Or snip it from the final build.  It's not big news now, as hardly anyone knows a whole lot about the game but it's news to me, because that scene alone stood out as one of the finer selling points — aside from the classic side-scrolling gameplay.  Don't forget; this is the same Nintendo that didn't port over Mother 3 due to it's partially adult themes and mature storyline.  I'm keeping my fingers crossed for this one.

As for the scene in question, it starts at the 2:38 mark:

Muramasa: The Demon Blade / 朧村正

Oh man, I'm stoked. I'm getting tired of playing Ookami on Wii, so I'm definitely ready for a cool new game with a plotline.
