To Aru Kagaku no Railgun appearing in it’s own MMORPG?

Possibly the most successful anime series this fall season yet, To Aru Kagaku no Railgun seems to be making waves into the online MMORPG scene.  A collaboration between Imagine entertainment and Project Railgun seems to be brewing soon. A teaser webpage has announced some big news coming on the 24th of December.  Is it an all-new game in the fictional world of Academy City?  Or is it a spinover into the Shin Megami Tensei universe?

The "To Aru" series seems to be picking up pretty big lately — it was only a few weeks ago when the Railgun show was featured on PSN's Toro Station!  Still no Figma announcements though…

Sounds interesting, although I'm not familiar with the title itself, I am familiar with the Mmo "Shin Megami Tensei Imagine". I'll be interested to see how this plays out. As long as its without all the demonic activity I might try it. 😉

You play Shin Megami Tensei already? What's it like?

yes, awhile ago. I play a lot of different games either in beta or f2p. I am sure that some people would really like it, but there was too strong occult feel to it. If you're already familiar with the series, you probably know what I mean.
Gameplay itself is pretty decent, although different than typical mmo controls. Not bad, just different. The only negative I have about its controls are the point and click movement style, which you cannot really change, or at least I don't konw how. 🙂 Other than that, if you have no problems playing games with controlling demonic "pets", try it, everything else is pretty good! Plus its free.

Very cool! If it's free, that sounds perfect for a poverty gamer such as me, haha!
